At Sandrik Provolone workshop we have already manufactured several unique organs for our customers. They were inspired by existing instruments or were designed in accordance with documented historical methods. However, we have also produced a modern organ designed in accordance with the conception of our customers.
In addition to the manufacturing of new organ, we are also able to realize repairs of the organs produced by other authors and workshops in case they have lost some of their original features and functions over the years.
When restoring an instrument, we always try to read and stand by the ideas of the organ’s author and return them back the original harmony and appearance. If the situation allows, we try to follow the prime methods and not remake the instrument in our own style.
When manufacturing and repairing every instrument, we always treat it as a unique one. We do not copy. Not even our own successful work.

The organ pipes made of hand-planed metal decorated with the method of chiselling are the dominant part of this organ portative built in the Gothic spirit. They are sensitively amended by a main cabinet which is made of mostly maple wood complemented by an inlaid strip made of other types of wood. The keys are made of linden wood and the semitones are also decorated with ebony wood. The organ pipes are very unique because they are decorated with singing clowns. The intonation of the organ pipes is focused on the full feed of the air into the foot. Thanks to that there is achieved an authentic sound that does not require further adjustments. The instrument will be appreciated by players who prefer more chamber organ music and require an authentic Gothic sound.

enYou find the devil, not only in the music. Meet him inside this organ portative called “Triton” designed in the Gothic style. It is manufactured by hand planed linden wood and its design and production is exclusively realized by our workshop. This organ portative is atypical, especially for the decoration that is based on devil illustrations. We can find them on the pipes. The devil concept is supported also by the triangle of the chair, whose one side evokes a burning flame that creates the fireplace on bass pipes. The decoration of the organ pipes is realized using the special technique embossing, which we have borrowed from jewelry.

As an example of the successful work of our workshop, we can mention a one-manual instrument with 6 registers and pedal, which is currently located in Mladá Boleslav in the Church of St. Havel. Its previous location was at the Pardubice Conservatory. From this place it was brought to the present place in a poor condition. Except of the adjustment of the position and setting of the tone tracture and adjusting of all keys to start at the same position, it was necessary to clean the valves that did not fit into their basic position. This remove the unwanted sound of the organ pipe after switching on the register.
The renovation of harmonium originating from the first half of the 20th century required the complete disassembly and cleaning. It was followed by the treatment of the wooden part by the linseed oil that was also used as an effective conservation. An important part of this instrument’s conversion was also the reconstruction of the organ bellows and the completely valve chamber. The organ whistles and valves were keeping original and they were only cleaned. Then the instrument was delicately intoned. The outer part of harmonium needs to be also reconstructed, especially due to inaccurate fitting parts. It was caused by unprofessional interventions in the past. In the end the instrument was restored to the form as close as possible to its original shape.
